This Ginsan or Silver paper (Gingami) No.3 Steel knives are made of fine Japanese Steel Company Hitachi's Special Stainless Steel which makes similar sharpness, edge retention as Carbon Steel.
Sharpness, Soft usage feeling and Unparalleled durability with Rust-resistance supported by the experience through long history.

On the beautifully Japanese lacquered (Urushi-nuri) saya sheath and handle, the traditional decorative AIDU-NURI artwork is carefully hand-drawn by master craftspersons.
Aizu-nuri is a traditional lacquerware produced at Aidu-region in the North-East of Japan, with a history of about 400 years. By applying multiple layers of lacquer, it achieves a durable and beautifully glossy finish, characterized by elegant decorative techniques such as gold maki-e, chinkin, and raden. Combining practicality with long-lasting durability and delicate, refined ornamentation, Aizu-nuri remains one of Japan’s representative lacquerware crafts, passed down to this day.
